Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 23 July 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to appointments, consultations, treatments, training courses, purchases and use of the Balayage Dulwich website.

By booking an appointment, purchasing a service or using our website, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Business Information

Business name: Balayage Dulwich
Address: 358 Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, London SE22 8LZ
Telephone: 020 3609 6699
Email: info.balayagedulwich@gmail.com
Website: www.balayagedulwich.london

If you have questions about these terms, please use our Contact Us page.

2. Appointments

Appointments are subject to availability. An appointment is confirmed only after you receive confirmation from Balayage Dulwich or an authorised booking provider.

Please provide accurate contact information when booking. In addition, tell us which service you require so that we can reserve an appropriate amount of time.

Submitting a website form does not automatically confirm an appointment.

3. Consultations

Certain services require a consultation before treatment.

  • Balayage and major colour changes
  • Colour correction
  • Selected hair treatments
  • Selected skin treatments
  • Aesthetics treatments
  • Services requiring an individual quotation

During the consultation, we may discuss your desired result, relevant treatment history, suitability, expected maintenance, price and appointment time.

However, a consultation does not guarantee that a particular treatment or result will be suitable.

4. Patch Tests and Strand Tests

Selected hair colour, tinting and beauty services may require a patch test before treatment.

A patch test may be required when:

  • You are a new client
  • You have not received the service within the required period
  • The product or formula has changed
  • Your medical, medication or allergy information has changed
  • You have previously experienced a reaction

The required testing period is [INSERT CONFIRMED NUMBER] hours before treatment.

Please read our Patch-Test Policy for further information.

5. Client Health and Treatment Suitability

You must provide accurate information about anything that may affect treatment safety or suitability.

This may include:

  • Allergies and sensitivities
  • Previous reactions
  • Medication
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Relevant medical conditions
  • Previous hair colour or chemical treatments
  • Recent skin or beauty treatments
  • Changes since your previous appointment

We may refuse, change or stop a service if we reasonably believe it may be unsafe or unsuitable.

6. Prices and Quotations

Current price guidance is available on our Pricing List.

Prices may vary according to:

  • Hair length and thickness
  • Starting colour and condition
  • Previous treatments
  • Product quantity
  • Treatment complexity
  • Time required
  • Additional services selected

Where possible, we will explain any significant price change before treatment begins.

Quotations are based on the information available during consultation.

7. Deposits

We will explain the applicable deposit terms before accepting payment.

8. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Please provide notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

A cancellation made without the required notice may result in:

  • Loss of the deposit
  • A requirement to prepay a future appointment

9. Missed Appointments

An appointment is considered missed when a client does not attend and has not provided appropriate notice.

Missed appointments may result in [INSERT EXACT MISSED-APPOINTMENT POLICY].

In addition, we may request full or partial prepayment before accepting another booking.

10. Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

If you arrive late, we may need to:

  • Shorten the service
  • Change the selected treatment
  • Remove part of the service
  • Reschedule the appointment

Unfortunately, this is necessary to avoid delaying other clients.

Where the time was reserved exclusively for you, the original appointment price or cancellation terms may still apply.

11. Treatment Results

We will take reasonable care when providing services. However, individual results can vary because of factors such as:

  • Starting hair or skin condition
  • Previous treatments
  • Home-care routine
  • Information provided during consultation
  • Product response
  • Maintenance and aftercare
  • Individual biological differences

Reference photographs may help explain your desired result, but we cannot guarantee that an image will be reproduced exactly.

Colour correction and significant transformations may require more than one appointment.

12. Aftercare

We may provide instructions to help protect your treatment result.

You are responsible for following relevant aftercare advice. Using unsuitable products, ignoring aftercare or obtaining another treatment too soon may affect the result.

Please contact us if you are unsure about aftercare.

13. Complaints and Corrections

If you are unhappy with a service, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Please provide:

  • Your name
  • Appointment date
  • Service received
  • An explanation of the concern
  • Relevant photographs where appropriate

We may ask you to return to the salon so that we can assess the result and discuss a reasonable solution.

Where possible, please allow us to inspect the concern before arranging corrective work with another provider. This does not affect any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Refunds

Completed salon services are generally not refundable merely because a client changes their mind.

However, where there is a genuine concern, we will review the circumstances and consider an appropriate response. This may include an assessment, adjustment, correction or another reasonable solution.

Product returns and refunds are subject to applicable consumer law and any hygiene or safety restrictions.

15. Children and Age Restrictions

Clients under [INSERT AGE] may require consent or attendance from a parent or guardian.

Certain hair, beauty and aesthetics treatments are unavailable to clients below a specified age. Therefore, please contact us before booking a treatment for anyone under 18.

16. Training Courses

Separate terms may apply to training courses, including:

  • Course fees and deposits
  • Attendance requirements
  • Cancellation and transfer terms
  • Course materials
  • Assessment requirements
  • Certificates
  • Entry requirements
  • Model requirements

Course details will be explained before enrolment.

A course will be described as accredited only where current written accreditation can be verified. Visit our Training Courses page for more information.

17. Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for personal belongings brought into the salon.

Although we will take reasonable care, Balayage Dulwich is not responsible for loss or damage except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

Please take particular care with clothing and valuables during colour or chemical treatments.

18. Photography

We will request permission before intentionally taking or publishing identifiable before-and-after photographs.

You may refuse photography without affecting your treatment. Where consent has been provided, you may contact us to discuss future use of the image, subject to legal and practical limitations.

19. Website Information

We aim to keep our website information accurate and current. However, services, prices, availability, team members and opening hours may change.

21. Changes to These Terms

From time to time, we may update these Terms and Conditions.

The latest version will be published on this page with a revised update date. The terms applying to an appointment will generally be those provided or available when the booking was made.

22. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute will be subject to the courts with the appropriate legal jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
